Less Characters Don't Help

To all those who think taking out all the other characters will make Sonic games better, think back to how that worked out for not only Shadow and Sonic 4, but unleashed(day stages weren't that good to begin with, too cheap), Sonic 3D blast, Spinball, Labyrth, the Advance games were in 2D and many people ignored them, Secret Rings, and more notably, Sonic Genesis for the GBA, a port of Sonic 1 that turned out worse then the original.
The problem is not the characters or the games being too dark, but the devs behind the works who either aren't good at their job or made to rush every game. I also wanna note that Colors barely had anything good about it, Lost World bombed, and Generations was boring.
