Team up gameplay

I mean, this is the only thing that'll keep boosting from getting stale, giving us the option to switch characters on the fly and use their abilities throughout the game. There is heroes but you can read this article on why it's not the best idea. Hell, at this point, the other characters would playing like Sonic wouldn't be an issue because they can't boost, which is all Sonic is reduced to.
