True Sonic Haters

For real. I don't care what kind of fan you identify yourself as, I'll judge by how and what they choose to talk about when it comes to Sonic, and if a clown, how they choose to damage control.

What's funny about this, is how the user who made this stamp: vertekins.deviantart.com/art/T…
Also made this: vertekins.deviantart.com/art/S…
And this: vertekins.deviantart.com/art/S…

LMAO, who the fuck is this user to talk about "True Sonic fans" being pretentious but "doesn't care for" entire continuities, especially the ones that made Sonic more popular in the first place? Also, this user is a prime example of how people can talk shit, but as long as they have the "popular opinion", people will blindly agree with them, most of them being no better then the people they criticize. Especially the guys who made these two comments:
"I definitely prefer Sonic Boom and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog"
"Sonic doesnt translate well onto cartoons, the characters just aren't strong enough."
You have one who prefers the shit that drags down Sonic's image, and another who just flat out damage controlled because they couldn't say something that made sense. XD
True Sonic Haters people. 8-)

About canons by country:
We got a lot shit from the U.S. for Sonic. His redesign and Satam/Archie canons are what made Sonic the popular character he was.

The U.K. gave us the Fleetway comics, where what made him popular in the U.S. was still present, and is now with the online comic.

The Japanese canon. Aside from the games, we haven't gotten jack from them for anyone to try to act like they're canon is better or more important then the others. The OVA didn't have much influence as far as I know, and was made into an OVA because Sonic wasn't popular enough to have a TV show, so they slapped it's pilots together. We did get Sonic X, but it's watered down compared to the U.S. and U.K. canons, ripped off the adventure canons, and it's last season was decent, but we still had better with the comics. Back to the games, Sega of Japan are solely responsible for Sonic's decline in overall quality as gaming series, and had the nerve to out mandates on the comics. It was their or Izuka's idea to appeal to Nintendo fanboys and make Sonic kiddy for the past 5 years, and letting Pontac and Graff write for said games. It's this reason that I also blame Sonic Boom on them, because it's a byproduct of the bullshit we've had for 5 years. Sega of America don't have enough power to do anything because of Sega of Japan, and I have the proof right here.

The former CEO of Sega America, and the man who is responsible for Sonic's and Sega's success from back in the day, had this to say:
"One of the key reasons why I left Sega is when we had the opportunity to work with Sony, when [Sony Interactive CEO] Olaf Olafsson, [Sony Corporation of America president and CEO] Mickey Schulhof and I had agreed we were going to do one platform, share the development cost of it, share the probable loss for a couple years on it, but each benefit from the software we could bring to that platform. Of course, in those days, we were much better at software than they were, so I saw this as a huge win. We went to Sony and they agreed. “Great idea.” Whether we called it Sega-Sony or Sony-Sega, who cared? We go to Sega and the board turned it down, which I thought was the stupidest decision ever made in the history of business. And from that moment on, I didn’t feel they were capable of making the correct decisions in Japan any longer."

He also had more to say here: www.tssznews.com/2015/02/23/fo…

That's about it. You corporate slaves of Sega Japan-

You guys can kick rocks, along with the Nintendo drones who give their own fanbase a bad name.

This isn’t exclusive to the Sonic fandom. There are so many fandoms that are like this. It’s nothing new. There’s no such thing as a “true fan“ either. That’s a term used to attempt to condone gatekeeping the fandom from someone for ridiculous reasons like ”liking something a majority of the fandom hates” or ”not knowing some fact about the media”.
