Room for Freedom Fighters

In regards to this crap here: fav.me/d56oogj

Reading the description, there's not much that needs to be responded to outside of the unnecessary role argument. So because the game characters have similar roles to the freedom fighters, it's a reason for them having no place? First off, Sonic Heroes made that redundant, you had 4 teams of characters doing the same shit, it was just a matter of who you wanted to play with from the start, but if the role argument was any reason, only team Sonic would be in.

Aside from that, sorry, but when you have lame and unappealing characters like Amy, Cream, Big the Cat, and the deadly clowns, you have no room to argue against the freedom fighters, especially with all the character development they've had in the comics for over 2 decades(even with the reboot). Plus, when game characters are also showing up in the comics, with said similar roles mind you, again, the argument is pretty much a moot point.

In the end, if people want character who can actually be appealing and popular for a good reason(Antoine stopped being a coward years ago so don't even bring it up), there's no need NOT to do it. They're from the American canon after all, and it was American content and influence that made Sonic popular back then, and why we're all still here now, so any argument against them is fueled only by spite and bile because they aren't like the games. I know someone will say Satam and the comics have these faws in them, but honestly, most of them people are the same ones STILL bashing the older 3D games, even the classics in recent times, only to praise the recent games that are far more flawed when it comes to actually being appealing, so who cares about the flaws in Satam or the comics, fans of either or both(like me) have A LOT more to be proud of at this point, while any game fan is either still waiting for a good Sonic game or praising bullshit like Boom.

Also, I saw this comment in that link:
When Sonic ever does reboot, and I'll admit he needs one, they don't don't need to shove a bunch of out-dated terrorist characters from some lame-ass eco-preachy 90s show that barely resembled the games it was based on.  Satam's been dead for over 20 years now.  Stop trying to shove a dead carcass into something that's barely alive at all.  It'll just kill it faster.

Words cannot express how stupid this is, and really just makes me laugh. XD
I mean, what did I say about that spite and bile? The guy makes no effort to make any real points and comes off as a cynical douche, and people wonder why the games are in bad shape, trying to appeal to people who put all their energy into hating something when they could be off minding their own business. There are other comments there, but most of them are just from yes-men and more spiteful trolls with their opinions, who shouldn't even be part of the equation when it comes to judging anything or anything having to do with how Sonic should be handled.

In the end of it though, the only thing not needed in Sonic is more negative bile that does nothing but further the bad rep both the series and fanbase already have, and trying to please the people behind it because they don't like something. Sonic was about being cool and appealed to a lot more people then he does now because of the games. Satam and Archie do a much better job at appealing to more people, they just need recent material for bigger markets, like video games(especially if Boom got it's own canon out of nowhere). If anything, I would say make a mixed game for digital and PC use, and open it for modding to add to the content, but SOJ can't have a hand in it, nor Frost from Big Red Button.

Apparently Ken Penders has a "good idea" for why SEGA isn't using the Freedom Fighters.

My first guess was perhaps SoJ still has some beef with SoA from what happened with Sonic X-Treme. There's something behind closed doors that isn't being talked about, and I wish we could get in contact with some of the previous core SoA members and ask them some questions.
